The metropolitan suggested that the ceremony of shift of the icon of Alexander Nevsky and its delivery to the Senate Square be done on the 27th, and not on the 31st of May, 2003 as it was planned earlier. He also draw attention to the fact that Alexander Nevsky was canonized to be a saint not during the 1920s but yet at the 13th century. At the reception, the possibility to hold public prayers at the Isaac’s and the Kazan Cathedrals was discussed. The metropolitan was acquainted with the calendar of the jubilee year and the jubilee decade.
