There are plans to invite a famous Spanish tenor, Placido Domingo, together with the soloists of “Metropoliten-opera” New York theatre for celebration of St. Petersburg’s 300th jubilee. At the same time, the question of participation in the celebration of a famous Italian tenor Luchano Pavarotti is not decided yet. On this, at the briefing in the international press-center “300 Years to St. Petersburg” announced the Minister of Culture, Mikhail Shvydkoy.
Shvydkoy proposed to discuss this question at the end of November with Italian Minister of Culture. He also noted that a joint concert of Elton John and Placido Domingo yet belongs to the sphere of rumors. Before the briefing representatives of the Minister of Culture met with representatives of the fund of the British singer; at the fund they were told that Elton John knows nothing about the concert.
