Accreditation of the organizations of public nourishment involved in serving during the official events for the period of St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary celebration is on.

According to the Committee of Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade of St. Petersburg’s Administration, the accreditation is organized and held by the Committee based on the order dating from 17.09.2002 “On organization of work for securing nourishment during the days of St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary celebration”. The accreditation’s goal is formation of an address program of organizations of public nourishment involved in serving for the official events of May-June 2003.

In accordance with the order a Working Group was set up to organize provision of nourishment for the population and guests during the days of the city’s jubilee celebration.

The accreditation is being done in two stages since October 1 till December 25, 2002.

At the first stage the representation of the organizations of public nourishment by the territorial administrations of St. Petersburg’s districts has taken place; at the second – the expert groups’ assessment of the organizations – participants in accordance with the established criterions.

In the course of the first stage, applications for participation in the attestation were given by more than 800 enterprises (the total number of such enterprises is 4,400 approximately). The largest number of applications (about 400) came from the Central district. Ten expert groups, set up at the Working Group, will hold the examination of the enterprises of public nourishment. The enterprises passing accreditation will receive certificates of the established reference.
