Customs officials of the North-Western region of Russia discussed the questions of mutual work and cooperation in the course of preparation for St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary.
At the Advisory council on Customs Policy at the North-Western Customs Administration, taking place on November 11 in St. Petersburg, the questions of cooperation between the members of international economic activities and the region’s customs agencies in preparation of St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary celebration were discussed.
Taking into account the existing practice of the questions of the customs’ legalization resolution one can suppose an array of typical problems which may occur in connection with the preparation and celebration of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. In particular, the absence of enough knowledge in the field of the Russian customs legislation among those interested.
In relation with this, the North-Western Customs Administration is planning to take a number of decisions directed at the organization of the customs’ legalization and control for the first quarter of 2003 due to the city’s jubilee. In particular, in the administration and the customs of the region there will be appointed the administrative authorities responsible for cooperation with the Committee-300.
