The baron announced that the lost brass bust is being recreated by the sculptor Stanislav Golovanov and will occupy the historical place at the Alexandrovskaya hospital on 32 Fontanka embankment. The monument on a high steps base appeared there for the first time in 1861. The tsar Alexander II set up the Alexandrovskaya hospital on his private means for “the black workers and in memory of February 19” – the date of the peasants release from slavery. The sculptor N. Laveretsky created the tsar in the hussar uniform with a ribbon, an aglet, the George’s cross and the orders.
