EATV Producing Center in Moscow will cooperate with the Russian National Ballet Theater, the St. Petersburg Tercentennial Committee to create the White Nights project. The project will be dedicated to St. Petersburg tercentennial. Representatives of the Russian Tourism Committee told the IPC that this project presents a unique combination of ballet shows created especially for the St. Petersburg tercentennial, White Nights by J. Schwarz and The Angel by J.-S. Bach and S. Reich. These shows would interest both conservative and liberal audiences and combine the classical ballet tradition and modernistic new trends in theater. The project is directed by Nikita Dmitrievsky, one of the most famous young choreographers. Three shows have been scheduled to be shown on May 20-25. Two of the shows will be presented at Maly Opera Theater, and Oktyabrsky Grand Concert Hall. The third, a chamber rendition, will be presented in the Hermitage Theater. The shows will start at eleven o’clock at night set against the background of famous St. Petersburg White Nights.
