The International Scout Festival in July 2003 will be dedicated to St.Petersburg Tercentennial, say the festival’s organizers. On Thursday March 13 members of the Interregional Scout Association and the Open Scouting Section of the All-Russian National Scout Organization spoke to the press about the upcoming event. There will be two camping sites: one camp will be located in Losevo, Leningrad Region, while the other one will put up its tents in the city itself. The site for the city camp is currently being selected.
St.Petersburg scouts say that the tercentennial celebration is a good reason for kids from most Russian regions, Poland, France, the UK and the US to come to St. Petersburg. Head Scoutmaster Sergei Silkin said also that on July 14 scouts will hold a parade dedicated to St.Petersburg tercentennial.
