To better provide security of objects guarded by the government during the conduct of the Russia-EU and Russia-CIS summits in St. Petersburg, from 10 a.m. on May 29 until 4 p.m. on June 1 boats will not be allowed to traverse the Neva River in the direction of the Nevsky inlet. A spokesperson for the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region Ministry of Internal Affairs said on the Friday press conference that the exit of ships into the Nevsky inlet from the Maly Neva River, Srednaya Nevka, and Bolshaya Nevka would also be closed. The passage of river and sea vessels from the Gulf of Finland in the direction of the port of St. Petersburg and Kronshtadt would also be closed during that time.
However, from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. on May 30 a limited passage of transit and transport ships would be organized along the route of the Maly Neva-Petrovsky Waterway-Sea Channel-Kronshtadt.
