Questions of European security and new world order will be discussed at the Russia-European Union Summit which will take place during the tercentenary celebrations in St. Petersburg at the end of May, said the President's Plenipotentiary in the Northwest Federal District Valentina Matvienko at the International press center in St. Petersburg on Monday.
She also said that the agenda of the Russia-EU and CIS summits is still being defined. Matvienko emphasized the fact that the summit will be the first meeting of European leaders since the war in Iraq. Therefore, the first problem to be discussed will concern the 'new world order.' At the CIS summit various questions including those on the development of the community will be discussed, said Matvienko.
