Consulate General of Romania will be opened as part of the anniversary program,Igor Ivanov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, said at the opening ceremony of an exhibition, dedicated to the anniversary of St.Petersburg in Bucharest.
Igor Ivanov said, that his visit to Romania has, first of all, political character. At the same time, the basic agreement between the two countries, which was paraphed yesterday and will be signed in the beginning of June during the visit of Romanian president to Moscow, is aimed at developing not only political contacts.
Mr. Ivanov said, that strengthening cultural and spiritual ties between the two countries, facilitationg communication between people would not be considered less important. According to his words, the agreement gives the new opportunities in this field.
