A map of St. Petersburg and a guidebook published by Presscom Publishing House will be distributed free of charge in hotels, restaurants and at information and service centers of St. Petersburg. Alexander Yakovlev, first Vice-Director General of Presscom, told about it today at the press conference in Rosbalt News Agency.
According to him, this is the first experience in free of charge distribution of a map and a guidebook in St. Petersburg, and this is a joint project of Presscom and the Committee for Resort Development of the St. Petersburg City Administration. The guidebook contains information on historical and cultural landmarks of the Northern Capital, as well as information on hotels, restaurants, cafés, places of recreation, Internet access, mail, etc.
The first copies of the maps and guidebooks will appear on May 15 in Astoria, Engletaire, Nevskij Palace, Pulkovskaya, Oktyabrskaya and some other hotels. The circulation of the map and the guidebook is 50 thousand copies.
