The city of St. Petersburg received a special gift from the city of Dresden on May 25. A children's playground located in front of the building of the Bryantsev Young Viewers Theater opened on May 25. Dresden Arch Burgomaster Ingolf Rossberg, who is currently located in St. Petersburg on an official visit, participated in the opening ceremony along with city officials and representatives of the German consulate in St. Petersburg.
The Dresden city administration and the organization Johannstadter Kulturtreff Dresden worked on the project for over a year. In the space of three weeks, leading up to the playground's opening, German wood sculptor Andreas Rode together with St. Petersburg colleagues finished building the playground.
