Second part of Baltic Pipeline System will be put into operation by next year.
06.18.2001 14:27

This opinion has been expressed by Vice Premier of the Russian Government Viktor Khristenko in a conversation with journalists on Thursday. According to V. Khristenko, the realization of this part of the project will require a year and a half. Finances received from tariffs on oil transportation and exports as well as Transneft company's own money and budget resources will be used for the project. $20 million have already been directed to the construction of the pipeline's second portion. $250 million more will be required in the future. Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has claimed that the second part of the pipeline system would be completed this December.
