Open meeting of International School Computer Science Conference's organizing committee was held at St. Petersburg Journalists' House. Licensed software packages were handed by Microsoft representatives to the city's most active teams of teachers at the conference. The action looks quite curious if one takes into account that a few days ago an open letter written by leaders of some Russian IT companies has been published. The letter expresses protest against "the state's protectionist policy towards Microsoft products".
