Consideration of the "Samson" suit is suspended

Consideration of the JSC "Samson" suit of admitting its right to control 80% of its branch establishments shares is suspended.

The Appeal Instance of the St. Petersburg and Leningradskaya oblast Arbitrate decided on August 21 to suspend for uncertain period of time consideration of the JSC "Samson" suit of admitting its right to control 80% of its branch establishments shares. This was reported by Sergey Salikhov, deputy director of FSFO in the North-West region. He explained that according to the court's decision the suit consideration is suspended till the JSC "Samson" suit of its branch establishments illegality is attached. The daughter enterprises appealed against the Arbitrate decision of June 29, 2001of admitting the right of "Samson" to control 80% of their shares.

The external controlling enterprise suit of JSC "Samson" incompetence in establishing daughter enterprises and in assets injections was brought in the beginning of 2001 according to the "Samson" external control plan for 2001. Its main point is restitution of "Samson" property, which in due time was handed to its branch companies. This plan successfully carried out, JSC "Samson" will escape bankruptcy - the enterprise will either be sold, or used, or there will be an attempt to reanimate it under the St. Petersburg administration guarantees. Now there are 75 juridical persons among "Samson" creditors. The largest are International Moscow Bank ($4 mln), German supplier company Gausepohl Fleisch Gmbh ($ 2,6 mln) and the custom ($6 mln).
