There have been tight relations in economy, culture, education between citizens of St. Petersburg and Turku for a long time. Finland invested 135,5 mln dollars in St. Petersburg's economy in 2000. And it was good news for Finnish businessmen that St. Petersburg's centre of business contacts opened in Turku.
