The third International forest forum has been opened in Saint Petersburg. The event is being held with the support of the Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in the North-Western Federal District Viktor Cherkesov, RF Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology, RF Ministry of Natural Resources, Leningrad Region Government and Saint Petersburg Administration and Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS States.

The following specialised exhibitions will be opened within the forum: Technoles [Technical Forest], Interles [International Forest], Interlesbirzha [International Forest Exchange], Drevkhim [Forest Chemistry], Saint Petersburg Furniture Salon - IFEP and others. Besides, event participants are going to discuss problems of the forest complex during the panel discussions: 'Modern methods of attracting investments and transfer of technology', 'Strategic investments to the forest and pulp and paper industries', 'Export of wood products and certification of forest resources', etc.

The forum is going to last until October 20.
