The 50th congress of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs (FCEM) is held in St. Petersburg.The congress is held in Russia and in the East Europe for the first time.

In Russia FCEM is represented by the “Women and Business” Association, established in 1991. The Association has its departments in Moscow, Norilsk, Murmansk and other Russian cities. The 48th World congress in Tunis decided to hold the jubilee 50th FCEM World Congress on September 15-22, 2002 in St. Petersburg, on the eve of the 300-year anniversary of the city.
