Russian president Vladimir Putin took part in the opening ceremony of an oil-loading port in Primorsk, Leningradskaya Oblast. The oil-loading port is an integral part of the Baltic Pipeline System constructed since April 2000 and designed for 12 mln tons of crude petroleum. In the cause of BPS first-stage construction, a new pipeline 278,3 km long was layed. The capacity of the port oil base is 692 thou. cub. m.
