Appearance of Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) among the shareholders of Baltic Beverages Holding (BBH) will reinforce positions of Russian companies of this group.
According to vice-president of Baltika Adam Tlehuray, Baltika’s management is glad to acquire a “rich grandfather S&N in the far misty England”. In the opinion of Tlehuray, S&N has not risked to operate on the Russian market so far, but having studied trends of the world beer market, decided to make such an enterprise. Perhaps it was caused by purchase of the Bravo’s plant in St. Petersburg by Heineken (Holland). Anyway Baltika’s management is sure these changes won’t affect operation of Baltika, and if do, then only in positive aspects.
