The Italian clothes manufacturer Benetton announced this week that the company plans to expand its business in St. Petersburg. A few new stores, with a total size of about 800 square metres, are planned to be opened not later than during 2003. Benetton has three stores in St. Petersburg today. The new stores will be opened in the centre of St. Petersburg and in other important parts of the city. The annual turnover of Benetton in Russia was $60 million in 2001 and in the world - $2 billion.
