As the shipyard's Marketing Director Mikhail Golubov told the negotiations would concern his company's participation in the Hazar project. The shipyard might get the order to design all the engineering documentation and provide training to Iranian experts. The talks will also outline the scope of manufacturing works that Vyborg Shipyard will be subcontracted for.

The Hazar project refers to a drilling rig and the accompanying vessels. The contract is worth $350 million in total, the subcontractor being the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). Sadra is the project's executor.
