Avtoarmatura company will supply accumulator plus-clamp caps for Ford Focus cars; Interkos-IV company will supply accumulator battery cable brackets.
“Products of the both companies were highly estimated by the Ford’s engineers and were approved as satisfying Ford’s requirements”, said Murray Gilbert, general director of Ford Motor Company plant. “These supply contracts are the next step in Ford’s policy of manufacturing localization on Russian market. Ford has already concluded supply contracts with Elast-Tekhnologhiy company (rugs and sprayers supply) and with Borskoye Steklo closed joint stock company (glass supply). Metal parts for the car body are supplied by German and Spanish companies, varnishes and other chemical products are supplied by BASF and Henkel companies (Ford Motor Company official suppliers).
Vsevolozhsk based plant will produce as many as 25 thousand cars a year.
Investments into the project amounted to $150 million.
