Baltika Brewery is planning a 16% increase in sales volume for 2002

Baltika Last year sales volume amounted to 140 million deciliters.

According to Baltika financial director Alexander Nikonov, at the moment the producing capacity of Petersburg-based Baltika brewery is 92 million deciliters, that of Tula-based brewery is 37 million deciliters, that of Rostov-based brewery is 3 million deciliters.

Also two new plants in Habarovsk and Samara are being built now. Total producing capacity of the both plants will be equal to 25 million deciliters.

According to Nikonov, investments into company development planned for 2002 will amount to $150 million while last year similar investments sum was equal to $105 million.

The major part of investments is meant for building of the plants in Samara and in Habarovsk; the former will be launched in the eve of 2003, the latter will be launched in the middle of 2003.

Other investments will be used for increasing of producing capacity of existing plants and for improvement of distribution system.
