By the end of 2003 an average state employee will receive the salary at a rate of 3 thousand 730 roubles.

The deputy chairman of the committee of finance of city administration Nadezhda Krepysheva has informed journalists about it.

As she said, now the average salary of the state employee makes 3 thousand 13 roubles. Increase of the salary will be carried out in two stages. Since January, 1 the regional rise will increase on 50%. Then secondary increase will take place May, 1, 2003. In the framework of a united tariff scale the salary will be raised on 35%. That will cost to federal treasury about 4 milliard roubles. On N.Krepysheva’s words, growth of the salary will be possible due to the general growth of city economy.
