October, 10 in Saint Petersburg the Round table "Attraction of investments by the enterprises of Northwest federal district: experience and prospects" is held.

On the Round table "The rating of investment appeal of the enterprises of Northwest federal district", prepared by the rating centre AK&M, for the first time will be presented. The rating is based on facts of the accounting on results of 2001. 100 largest enterprises of Northwest, finished 2001 in the black, are included in it.

The program of the Round table also includes discussion of a wide spectrum of themes: the current status and factors of economic growth of economy real sector of Northwest federal district, a problem of increase of effective enterprise activity, attraction of investments in industrial enterprises of Northwest as a real opportunity of their modernisation, and also expansion of manufacture; the role of administrations of subjects of the Russian Federation and municipal authorities in attraction of investments, the role of banking capital in investment processes of district at the present stage of development.
