A number of events take place in Saint Petersburg on April 11 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Siemens' activity in Russia including a press conference that will feature Siemens CEO Doctor Heinrich Pierer. The German company is currently working on a joint project with the Zavolzhsk Motor Factory (a subsidiary of Severstal group) to develop a new engine, which will be on display today. The construction of the engine itself is being designed by the motor factory while Siemens specialists have designed the Piezo Common Rail diesel direct injection system for the engine. There are already five working models of the new engine with the PCR system.
