According to Peterstar's telematic services director, Petr Akulshin, two Internet kiosks are currently undergoing trial runs in branches of the Ideal Cup chain of coffee houses. The kiosks will start charging for their services at the end of July, with access costing 35 roubles ( EUR 1) for half an hour. Payment will be by special cards that can be bought at the cafes. By the end of the year, Peterstar plans to install 15 terminals at Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg, the Sea Port, and cafes, cinemas, schools and universities. The company also plans to set up broadband Internet access in 12 St. Petersburg schools by the end of the year.
