ST. PETERSBURG, September 3. Several ministers from Finland will visit St. Petersburg to participate in 'Finland week,' which begins September 7. 'Finland-Russia' Society General Secretary Merria Hannus said in a press conference yesterday that the Finnish Minister of Culture Tanya Karpela will come to St. Petersburg to open the fourth Finnish-Russian cultural forum on the problem of adolescence with Russian Culture Minister Mikhail Shvydkoi.
Finnish Environment Minister Jan-Eric Enestam and Social Services Minister Liisa Khyussyalya will be the Finnish chairmen of the 'Northern Dimension' forum on questions of social security, health services and environmental protection. It is also possible that members of the Finnish parliament will visit St. Petersburg.
The Russian delegation will be represented by Deputy Natural Resources Minister Irina Osokina and Deputy Labor and Social Development Minister Natalia Malysheva. St. Petersburg Vice Governor Alexander Prokhorenko said that discussions were under way regarding the visit of other members of the Russian government.
