. Neste Saint Petersburg plans to invest USD 6.78 million in 2004 to develop its own network of gas stations, said company press secretary Nina Odnokonnaya. This money will be used to construct gas stations in Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region.
. Odnokonnaya also said that this year Neste Saint Petersburg built one gas station in Saint Petersburg in the amount of USD 1.13 million. By the end of this year, the company plans to invest USD 4.5 million to construct an additional gas station and one gas station complex.
The company was created in 1990 as a Russian-Finnish joint venture called Petro Service. At the present time Neste Saint Petersburg is the subsidiary of the Finnish company Fortum Oil and Gas, which itself is a subsidiary of the Finnish energy concern Fortum.
