November 13. Baltiisky Zavod [Baltic factory] has been given an ISO 9001-2000 international certificate confirming that the factory's system of management corresponds to contemporary international standards.

The factory must receive this certificate to extend its license with the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade to produce the goods which it traditionally specializes in. New management standards have allowed Baltiisky Zavod to enter the international market and bid for shipbuilding tenders on an equal footing with other foreign wharfs.
