According to an agreement with Russian company Energoprom the Shale institute in the Estonian city of Kohtla-Yarve has prepared an economic report for a new energy complex for developing shale. The complex will be constructed in the city of Slantsy, Leningrad Region.
According to the newspaper Northern Coast, the energy complex will include three large reactors, where up to nine thousand tones of shale can be processed daily. The factory will work with the use of Russian and Estonian technology. Northern Coast reported that the construction of the complex in Slanets means that Estonia's experience is very competitive.
