Vyborg Shipbuilding Plant delivers hull of fishing trawler to Norwegian Bergen Yards

Fishing trawler Vyborg Shipbuilding Plant (Leningrad Region) delivered the hull of the world's largest fishing trawler to Norwegian Bergen Yards yesterday. The vessel is 94 metres long and 17.6 metres wide. It is designed for catching fish in the North Sea.

The vessel can travel at up to 20 knots and the hull is shaped in such a way that it can reach a high velocity without using much fuel. The Russian plant has already fitted the trawler with its main engine, maneuvering devices, electrical equipment, stairs, lighting etc. The Vyborg plant was founded 55 years ago.
