North-West Alliance Co. has won a tender on the feasibility study, design and construction of a seaport terminal for transfer of petrochemicals in the Vistino settlement in the Kingisepp District of the Leningrad Region.
The tender commission of the Leningrad Region recommended to the regional government that the project be given to North-West Alliance Co., now according to an order ready to be signed by the regional governor Valerii Serdyukov. The new port complex will contain buildings, a railway line 15 km in length, and living quarters.
Information in the press that each of the companies competing for the tender were led by TNK-BR (Tyumenskaya Neftyanaya Kompaniya and British Petroleum) was refuted by the Leningrad Regional government.
The government suggests that large oil companies don’t have any relation to the project in Vistino. Nevertheless, experts don’t exclude the possibility that TNK-BP is participating in the project.
