Alexander Golovin has been appointed the Acting Director of the State Unitary Aviation Enterprise Pulkovo. He used to be the Deputy Director General of the Aviation Security Complex of Pulkovo.
On Tuesday, February 3 the Chief of the State Civil Aviation Service of the Russian Transportation Ministry, Alexander Neradko, presented Pulkovo’s new Acting Director to the Governor of St. Petersburg, Valentina Matvienko, to the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in the North-Western Federal District, Ilya Klebanov, and to the management of the aviation enterprise.
Nikolai Shipil, the Director General of the State Transportation Agency Rossiya, which has to be merged with Pulkovo, was the most likely candidate to fill the post of Pulkovo’s Director General. “Golovin has been made the Acting Director of Pulkovo until the fusion process is over”, Konstantin Tarasevich, the press secretary of Rossiya said. Alexander Golovin had been charged with a mission to prepare Pulkovo for the merger with Rossiya. Ilya Klebanov said the process would start in a month. Some 3 or 4 months later the companies will merge and get a common director. The chances are that Nikolai Shipil will be Pulkovo’s Director General.
