The Estonian ship operator Tallink Grupp AS is planning to introduce a one-day, no-visa-stay in Russia for passengers who use Helsinki – Tallinn – St. Petersburg new boat line for travel to Saint-Petersburg. As the company’s press service reports, Tallink representatives are now negotiating with their Russian partners to simplify the procedures to obtain visas.
Tallink management says that the Russians welcome the Estonian proposal, and there are no problems to be expected. Tallink intends to spend 15 million krones (nearly 1 million Euros) on advertising of its new boat line; 10 million krones will go to Russia, and the rest will be spent in Finland and Estonia.
