St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Oblast and Finland plan to set up a joint employment program, the chief of the city's federal employment service Dmitry Cherneiko said at a press conference on Friday. "The program will handle employment of Russians in Finland, and Finns in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast," Cherneiko said.
The program, which is slated for 2007, will include a unified bank of job vacancies and procedures for obtaining work visas. Cherneiko said the city also plans to work with the Finnish authorities to create unified professional standards for jobs in high demand.
