The European Business Club in the Russian Federation is organising a conference dedicated to the current day-to-day customs practices of foreign trade partners with a special focus on customs value, customs administration in direct foreign investment, as well as customs clearance and control issues in Russia. The two-day conference is taking place on October 7-8 in the Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel, Nevsky pr. 57, St. Petersburg, Russia.

Foreign trade partners, Representatives of the RF Federal Customs Service (FCS) and the North-Western Customs Division (NWCD) and Members of the National Association of Customs Brokers (NACB) – Russia and the Baltic States are among the participants of the conference.

The conference has three in-depth sessions scheduled. DAY 1 has the following two sessions: “Acute questions (within the framework of the RF Customs Code) regarding the estimation and declaration of the customs value of goods imported to Russia” and “Contemporary theory and practice of customs administration in direct foreign investment”. DAY 2 will cover “New customs legislation: customs clearance and customs control – theory and practice”.

The format of the conference allows its participants to have the floors for questions and comments both during the sessions and during the informal breaks and cocktails on the DAY 1 of the conference.

The RF Federal Customs Service has confirmed their participation at the conference by sending representatives from Moscow as well as from the North-West Customs Directorate.

The conference will result in a document, which will be sent to the RF Federal Customs Service in form of the concrete proposals and requests.

The conference will be held in Russian and English with simultaneous translation.
