Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, St. Petersburg governor Valentina Matvienko have sealed a cooperation contract for 2005, Gazprom said in a statement.
As agreed, Gazprom will deliver to St. Petersburg consumers 10.8 bcm of gas in 2005 and allocate funds to ensure gasification of Kurortny and Pushkinsky districts of the city.
In return, St. Petersburg authorities have undertaken to ensure timely and 100% settlement of gas supply to budget organizations and redemption of their arrears for previous gas deliveries.
As announced, the parties entered into a 5-yr cooperation agreement on January 25, 2003. 2004 cooperation contract was fulfilled at 100%. Gazprom has provided this year around 142 mln rbl for gasification of St. Petersburg suburbs.
St. Petersburg's gasification stands at around 65% vs. 51.7% average in Russia. 2003 gas deliveries reached 10.8 bcm, this year's deliveries are estimated approximately at the same level.
