Pepsi Bottling Group Russia expanded its St. Petersburg operations by opening a $6.5 million storage facility, the company said Thursday, Interfax reported.
“The opening of the storage center completes the first step of our program to expand the production volumes. In 2008, we will begin the second stage, opening another production line and enlarging our warehouses,” said Alexander Sorokin, head of Pepsi Bottling Group Russia in St. Petersburg.
At present Pepsi has an annual output of 110 million bottles, producing in five cities around the country, including Moscow and St. Petersburg.
