President Vladimir Putin met with former Hungarian premier Peter Medgyessy in Budapest on Tuesday.
“Tasks set at our previous meetings are being implemented,” he said, referring to joint projects in trade and high technologies.
Putin said he hopes that Medgyessy would continue the promotion of bilateral relations.
The ex-premier said that the bilateral contacts are dynamic. He recalled the St. Petersburg meeting with Putin, which discussed Russia’s cooperation with the European Union and NATO, and suggested setting up a related forum.
He also wished Russia successful presidency in the G8.
