New technology will assist participants and organizers during the St. Petersburg international economic forum, which will open on June 6, a spokesperson for the forum said.
Such technology will include the ‘Forum in your palm' project, expected to ease access to the event's information system.
Each participant who has a wireless device (smart phone, laptop, pocket PC) will be able to visit the forum's official site www.forumspb.com via a Wi-Fi connection and get all the latest information.
The site will have the agenda for the business and cultural program together with media information.
Visitors will also have access to online footage of business events (with or without translation into Russian and English) and videos featuring the main presentations, as well as reference information about the forum and the host city.
Visitors to the site can also create their personal files containing participant information, work schedules, as well as online chat and message boards.
Russian state news agency RIA Novosti is the information partner of the XII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
