Cooperation in the form of information exchanges in the sphere of preventing drug traffic has been established between St. Petersburg militia and civil protection services of Finland and Estonia. A cooperation agreement with the Finnish police on joint efforts to fight crime has been signed in 1999. It is possible that the next step in the cooperation process will involve the signing of a three-side treaty between civil protection organizations of St. Petersburg, Finland and Estonia.
