On this special day, the Institute of Precise Mechanics and Optics greeted its programming team that won gold medals at the annual World Programming Championship, held in Vancouver in 2001. The team included the school's students G. Korneyev, D. Kuznetsov, A. Stankevich and M. Kozakov (as a coach). Roman Elizarov, who had won the third prize in the 1994 International Programming Olympiad among secondary school students, also participated in the team's preparation. Photo by S.
