An ambulatory centre will open on Liteiny Prospect. The project, worth $9 million, will be financed by the International Financial Corporation, by the World Bank and by Finland\'s state investment funds. The World Bank will allocate $2.1 million for it. The Finnish Marita Bank will also participate in the financing. It is planned to begin the reconstruction of the building, where a printing house was formerly located, in May or June, 2001. The medical centre will open in October, 2002. It will include a family clinic with a diagnostic section and clinical laboratories, and a stationary section with 22 beds. The clinic will be designed to service about 100,000 patients a year.
