Memorial Day of radiation accidents' victims marked in St. Petersburg.

Photo by S. Tyagin, Interpress. Over 5,000 citizens who have suffered from the accident at Chernobyl nuclear power plant are currently living in the city. This number includes those who participated in the liquidation of the accident's consequences, people who moved or were evacuated from Chernobyl area and children born soon after the catastrophe. Yesterday a memorial sign dedicated to victims of this accident has been opened on the city's Chernobyl Victims' Alley in Primorsky district. Photo by S. Tyagin, Interpress.
