The government of Russia has accepted the World Bank´s offer to hold a global World Bank conference on the protection of human rights on the basis of legislation and justice in St. Petersburg on July 8 through 12. This claim was made by the governmental department of information. An organizing committee headed by Vice Premier Viktor Khristenko has been formed. The committee includes such government officials as Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak, and Minister of Justice Yuri Chaika.
