The charitable purpose of the ball is to create a cultural complex in Pavlovsk in memory of the well-known "Vauxhall" concert hall whose history is inextricably tied to the name of the Viennese Waltz King and to revive the tradition of musical seasons in Pavlovsk.

Alongside with stars of classical music performance, the ball's program includes a show of the world's best designers' models, a gift to each visitor from the city of Vienna, a competition for the ball's best costume, fireworks, a charity lottery and other surprises.

The ball is carried out by "Musical Olympus " fund with the support of Vienna's and Saint Petersburg's city governments. Film Director Nikita Mikhalkov is the Honourary Chairman of the ball. Irina Nikitina acts as its initiator and organizer.
