Russian and American specialists in the area of landmark preservation and real estate development, practicing architects and restoration workers, theoreticians and representatives of municipal administration will exchange experience in the area of landmark preservation and discuss problems of adapting old buildings to new purposes, as well as legal and regulatory aspects of their protection and reconstruction. General Consul of the U.S. in St. Petersburg Paul Smith, Mayor of Savannah, Georgia Floyd Adams, President of New York Society for Landmark Preservation Peg Brinn, President of Faberge Arts Fund Joyce L. Reade, President of Goldman Properties development company Tony Goldman, architects from Washington, D.C., New York and Chicago will participate in the seminar from the American side. The Russian side will be just as representative and competent.
