A new heart surgery room, made in compliance with modern European and American standards, will open there June 20. According to City Administration's press service, the reconstruction of the surgery room has been just completed using the sponsorship of the Russian Medical Fund (U.S.A.), headed by Susan MacIntosh. The hospital's heart surgeons have been collaborating with Susan MacIntosh since 1996. She has invested $150,000 into the reconstruction of the hospital's cardiac reanimation facility. The fund helps the hospital buy medicine and medical supplies for a total amount of $300-400 annually, it organizes study abroad trips for the hospital's personnel.
